Our Team.
At Light House you get a hive-mind approach. That’s why our office is always buzzing with ideas!
Every architectural project has a lead designer and a collaborating designer, plus input from members of the science team at each stage of the design process.
Every member of the team is aware of the projects happening across the office and regular, additional ‘co-lab’ sessions occur each week. The collective experience in our office is large and we all benefit from, and enjoy, sharing our knowledge and ideas.
Our senior design team, spend a lot of time focusing on documentation, specification and process templates and standards, to ensure that their expertise is automatically implemented on each project.
It’s important to remember that each member of our design team brings their own unique experience and background — in some cases they have more relevant experience than those who are registered architects. We enjoy matching the right lead designer with each client and project; and we are confident that our well-established collaboration frameworks, and background systems and processes, ensure each client gets the same powerful, hive-mind service.
NOTE: we have registered architects on our team (who have completed 3 years of undergrad + 2 years masters study in architecture + gained 3+ years of industry experience + passed rigorous registration exams and log book requirements). Among our design team we also have another 24 years worth of undergraduate tertiary architecture study + 9 years of masters level architecture study + some brilliant staff who studied building design at TAFE + umpteen years of industry experience between us. However, only two members of our design team are allowed to be referred to as architects due to very strict rules that don’t make a lot of sense to outsiders. While our design team does high quality design work that you might consider to be architecture… please be aware only two of them are architects (we would hate to confuse or mislead you!).
