Alasdair Taylor
Alasdair is a construction student at the University of Melbourne, who joined the team in the middle of 2022. Since then he has worked as part of our science team, assisting with on-site testing and reporting, and any other odds and ends of data management and communication. He’s working on learning everything he can from the talented and experienced science team.
He was originally brought in as an Intern looking at embodied carbon in residential houses, but quickly found a passion for the field. He has since become a specialist in whole house life cycle assessments (LCA) and is working on applying this understanding to our practice. He has been in communication with Climate Active, academics, and commercial experts in his research and work in the field. This new angle on building sustainability is welcomed but very much unknown to the Australian architecture and housing industries. He is hoping to change that.
