Planning and designing homes in bushfire prone areas

The Light House team has collaborated with Jeff Dau from Ember Bushfire Consulting to write Site Planning and Design for Bushfire. This paper has been published by the Australian Institute of Architects as part of its National Bushfire Response to the 2019/2020 summer bushfires, and is a significant update to Planning and Design for Bushfire Protection written by Nigel Bell in 2003.

The paper, which can be accessed here, is an important resource for architects, building designers, landscape designers, bushfire consultants and anyone else involved in designing homes in bushfire prone areas.
