Retrofitting Australia
The National Energy Efficiency Conference is happening in Melbourne on Wednesday 25th and Thursday 26th May. As Jenny writes this blog the night before, she is imagining how the atmosphere in the room will be fairly electric (pardon the pun) following the strong vote for climate action in the weekend’s federal election.
Those of you on LinkedIn may enjoy listening to Luke Menzel, CEO of Energy Efficiency Council, chatting the day after the election about how the bi-partisan EEC is ready to hit the ground running.
Jenny is looking forward to sharing her experiences working on a wide range of retrofit projects over the last 14 years - from small-scale Rehab-Retrofits with budgets of less than $10,000 (sometimes much smaller than that even), through to Deep-Retrofit-Renovation projects with much bigger budgets and everything in between. With a scientific approach (and it is not rocket science), most existing Australian homes can be made much more comfortable, healthy and energy efficient; reducing energy bills and GHG emissions. Win:win:win:win:win. Let’s get on with it Australia!
Speaking of “Its not Rocket science” you might like to hear Jenny chatting with Luke and her colleague John K on the EEC podcast ‘First Fuel’ a few months ago.
