Deep retrofit for more accessible, equitable and resilient houses

We were delighted to see a photo of our multi-award-winning Petit & Sevitt Revival project accompanying this excellent new article in ArchitectureAU online.

We strongly encourage you to read the article and then encourage anyone you know who is thinking of renovating their home to make sure they take the opportunity to thermally upgrade their home at the same time as they do the more visible aesthetic changes. A fresh new look can be accompanied by a fabulous new level of comfort and health if a few simple things are considered and implemented along the way. Energy efficiency measures are not the expensive part of renovation projects and, unlike new taps, tiles and benchtops, they will start paying for themselves immediately by reducing your energy bills.

Check out more examples of Light House Deep Retrofits on our Renovation page. It is important to stress that you can thermally upgrade your home, without architectural changes, with MUCH smaller budgets check out our Science pages for examples of super tight budget Rehab Retrofits and more Regular Retrofits.
